BROLO

Brolo is a confluence of 3 common sports (Polo, Lacrosse and Skateboarding) arranged in an unexpected way.  The result is a unique new idea!

Lax Bros + Polo = Brolo

We can apply the same methodology to the guitar with similarly pleasing result.

In the video I play the I V vi IV chord progression (Key of G:  G, D, Em, C), perhaps the most common chord progression in the western world.

Example 1 features this Chord progression played in what is commonly referred to as the “Farmer’s Corner,” as many a Good ol’ boy have serenaded a sweatheart under neath a poplar tree over the years, using just these handful of common, openstring chords.

Example 2 features the triad inversions of these chords on the sweet-spot of the guitar, string-set D, G, B.  I play them relatively close to one another by grabbing the nearest inversion.

Example 3 features drop voicings of the triads from Example 2.  Simple “drop,” or lower the 2nd or 3rd note from the highest pitch down one octave (8vb).  The Example ends with a tried and true, swaggy, saucey Hendrix-esque riff based off of a 1st inversion major chord.

Example 4 is a straight 8th note arpegiated pasgsage of the Chord voicings from Example 3 combined with a Dotted 8th note delay a la The Edge (U2) or Bill Frisell (occasionally) or Buckethead's Big Sur Moon.

Common chord progression/chords + triads on the sweet spot + drop 2 and drop 3 voicings + saucey Hendrix-ism + dotted 8th note delay = Some “top cheese” guitar playing, son!
